The BIG one to kick of retirement.  We have booked another ‘holiday of a lifetime’ travelling for just over a month from Jakarta down to Bali.  22 days of touring, followed by week of relaxation.
We are using G-Adventures again as they did such a good job in our Central America trip. As always it’s fully packed.

This cultural melting pot is home to over 270 million people, representing a diverse array of ethnicities and religions.

Bali, famous for its vibrant culture and stunning scenery, is a major tourist destination. However, Indonesia also offers a wealth of other experiences, including ancient temples in Java, orangutan sanctuaries in Borneo, and the vibrant cities of Sumatra.

While facing challenges like poverty and deforestation, Indonesia possesses significant economic potential and continues to develop as a nation.

A thriving arts scene complements historical sites, with museums, galleries, and theaters showcasing local and international talent. Jakarta's culinary scene is a melting pot of flavors, offering a wide range of Indonesian and international dishes.

However, rapid urbanization has brought challenges such as traffic congestion and pollution. The city government is actively working to address these issues through infrastructure development and sustainable initiatives. Despite these challenges, Jakarta remains a vibrant and exciting destination.

Bali, an Indonesian island paradise, captivates visitors with its breathtaking natural beauty. Lush rice paddies, volcanic mountains, and pristine beaches create a stunning backdrop.
