The cottage was very well equipped and immaculately clean.
It was on a working sheep farm and the 76year old lady farmer ‘Sally’ had about 100 sheep in around 80 acres. “Just a small place” she said.
Rooster had to rescue her when she got her quad bike stuck and kept falling over. Apparently he saved her life. After two new knees and two new hips she was not as flexible.
Cola and Rooster had a lovely meal at the local Italian “The Blacksmith Arms“, it makes a change for a non chain place actually run by Italians. Mama mia
Holiday Itinery
On our group safaris you will travel by road between lodges accompanied by your driver / guide throughout. These are fixed departure safaris, with a maximum of 7 clients, allowing you to travel with like-minded people with whom you can share your experiences. The restaurants at the lodges will be set up for you to dine as a group but it is up to you whether to dine as part of the group or individually; simply let your driver / guide know what your preference is on a day to day basis as you can mix and match as you wish.
Your Safari Vehicle
We use specially adapted 4WD vehicles for safaris in Kenya, which seat a maximum of 7 people, each with a window seat. They have sliding windows and a pop-up top for unobstructed game viewing as well as protection from the sun. A cooler box provides chilled water and most vehicles have power points for recharging camera batteries. The vehicles are driven by knowledgeable English speaking driver/guides who have an expert understanding of the wildlife, history and culture of Kenya. Please note vehicles are not air- conditioned. Airport transfers may be in a different vehicle.
Baggage
Your vehicle will have space for one soft-sided bag per person measuring up to 65cm x 46cm x 46cm (either a duffel style bag or rucksack recommended) plus one ‘carry on’ style bag for cameras, valuables and day use.
Depending on the route of your safari you may be able to leave extra luggage with our local representative (a charge may apply) – please check with your consultant to see if this is possible on your safari. Wherever you store your baggage we recommend that you always travel with all your valuables and essential items.
It is important you speak to your consultant at the earliest opportunity if you have any queries for further advice and assistance.
ARRIVAL TRANSFER After clearing customs exit the arrivals hall to find your Pollmans Tours & Safaris representative holding a Trailfinders board with your name on it. If you cannot find them please call +254 733786162 or +255 722366134. DEPARTURE TRANSFER: Your welcome letter will contain details of the pick up time for your departure transfer but if you do not have this please call the numbers above.

It is important to bear in mind that journey times may vary depending on game viewing opportunities en route, traffic, weather conditions and waiting times at park gates. Within cities, traffic can be a particular issue at certain times of day. There may be occasions when your driver will suggest an earlier start than you might expect to avoid excessive time in the vehicle.
