Mixed family weekend full of fun. The two clans are going together this time, with Titters and Els. Two chalets, lots of beers and try to get a BBQ thrown in.

Woodland Magic and Whirlwind Adventures: Our Center Parcs Getaway

From serene spa afternoons to high-ropes standoffs, our family forest escape had it all. There is nothing quite like packing up the bags, leaving the routine behind, and heading deep into the forest for a few days of pure, unadulterated family fun. Our latest trip to Center Parcs was a beautifully chaotic blend of high-energy activities, much-needed relaxation, and unforgettable memories made under a canopy of glorious sunshine.

The adventure kicked off with everyone finding their own perfect pace. While the ladies and Ol’s slipped away for some well-deserved tranquility and pampering at the spa, the competitive spirits were alive and well back at the tables, where Rooster, Sala, and ReeRee clashed in an epic, laughter-filled tournament of pool.

Sporting rivalries continued as we took over the courts for a fast-paced game of badminton, followed by a brilliant session at the bowling alley. But the real highlight of our active itinerary was our two trips to the pool. It was an absolute joy to watch two-year-old FreBeans completely transform since our last CP adventure, genuinely growing to love the water more and more with every single splash.

Of course, not every venture went entirely to plan. Our brave attempt at the high ropes turned into a rather unsuccessful, comical standoff when FreBeans decided she absolutely did not want to play ball! Thankfully, we slowed things down afterwards with some delicious family meals and a wonderful, creative challenge of pottery painting.

Best of all, the weather was spectacular throughout our stay. The brilliant sunshine brought the forest to life, treating us to regular, magical encounters with the local wildlife—from elegant deer grazing nearby to playful squirrels and a vibrant array of woodland birds. It was the perfect forest escape!
