We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Basel Zoo. The absolute highlight was walking with the penguins. The zoo has many animals all of which look very well looked after. We had my 20 month old granddaughter with us and she loved it too. As visitors to Basel we had a Basel card with half price entry so really not expensive to visit either.
